Jaden Philogene's agent has gone viral on social media after posting an Instagram picture outside Barcelona's offices, but for all the wrong reasons.

  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Earlier this week, Hull's Philogene was rather bizarrely linked with a loan move to Barcelona. His agent posted two pictures on Instagram on Thursday, showing him outside of Barca's offices. Those pictures have since gone viral, because apparently Barcelona have no idea who Philogene is. Gerard Romero tweeted that the club's directors were "mystified" that they were being linked with the winger, as their top target is Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams.

  THE BIGGER PICTURE

  Marca reports that Barcelona did scout Philogene and had received positive reports but there has been no contact between the two clubs. Sport, by comparison, reports that the pictures were taken over a month ago, and that the winger's agent was actually there to discuss youth players in Barca's academy.

  It's anyone's guess as to why his agent waited until now to share the images on his social media, although many are speculating that this was done to make the most of the Philogene rumours.
